Our Sunday Service started at 10:00am with our Sunday School, can I please tell you that our Sunday School is growing tremendously!!! I get real excited when i send the family of New Beginning come out to the teaching ministries of our church!!!! The banner offering went to class #1, which is our children class!! The Banner attendance went to class #2, which is our teen class!!! Way yo go to the Youth Ministry of the New Beginning Church!! Adults yall better step up are these children are going to leave yall in the dust!!!(LOL)
Our worship experience started at the 11:00am hour and man I tell you, the power of the Holy Ghost dropped in New Beginning and service was awesome!!! The choir rolled as usual, the deacons did a fiery devotion, even the alter prayer was off the chain!!! Thank you Lord for your visitation!!!
The word this Sunday came from the book of Acts 27:39-44 and the subject was: Making it on Broken Pieces!!! The word was awesome and 5 persons united with our church family!!! Thank you Lord for doing what you do!!!

Top of the Evening to everyone, we greet you in Divine love, our prayer is that you and your family are walking under an open heaven!!!!
On this past Wednesday we came together at 6:00pm for our prayer service, as we are trying to but the emphasis back on be a praying church!!! We started our bible class promptly at 7:00pm, we are still studying "What we Believe as a Baptist"! We picked up tonight with article number X. Sanctification: We believe that sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of his holiness; that it is a progressive work; that it is begun in regeneration; and that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, the Sealer and Comforter, in the continual use of the appointed means, especially the word of God, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness, and prayer.
The Second article we studied was article number XI. The Perseverance of Saints: We believe that such only are real believers as endure unto the end; that their persevering attachment to Christ is the grand mark which distinguishes them from superficial professors; that a special Providence watches over their welfare; and that they are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation!
I am so very proud of the family of New Beginning because they are coming out to be taught the word of God!!! Way to go family!!!

Well this weekend was a very busy weekend, let me start off by saying the New Beginning church family traveled to Richland, Georgia on Friday Night we had a fellowship with the Hidden Treasures Church of God in Christ, Pastor Juan Lane was our host!!! We took a van load and some cars and I tell you it was a blessing!!! Everybody took their post and did an awesome job, our choir was awesome as usual!! I share the word from Mark 5: 25-34 and the subject was, How to handle your issues!! The Points were be persistent, have faith and take it to Jesus!!! We had an awesome time!!!!! We stop at Applebee's and had a wonderful fellowship eating out!!!!

We left to go to the Nazareth Baptist Church at 2:30pm where my friend and brother Pastor Vincent L. Wilson was celebrating his 1st Pastoral Anniversary!!!! My text came from 2 Corinthians 10:1-7 and my subject was, If it wasn't for God!!! We had an awesome time sharing with the family of Nazareth.

We started this prayer service because we want our church family to understand, if we are going to save our generation, its going to be by prayer!!!

Top of the afternoon to everyone, we greet you in Divine Love, my prayer is that you and your family are walking under an open heaven!!!!
This past Sunday was a tremendous blessing, of course we started with our Sunday School at 10:00am. The lesson for this Sunday was "Restoring Human Lives" print text was Ezekiel 36:22-32, of course the lesson was real good. Class #2 which is the teen class won the Banner Attendance and Class #3 which is the adult class won the Banner Offering.
Well our morning worship service started promptly at the 11:00am hour, it was raining outside but the family of New Beginning Church pressed their way through(shucks now). The atmosphere was great because Dr. Keith Witherspoon left some fire after our revival, as I was sitting in the pulpit mediating one of the sons of the house, asked me if I was ok, because coming after Dr. Witherspoon has got to be a hard task, I told him yes sir it is, and I should have made him(the son) preach this morning!!!!(LOL)
Anyhow the choir was off the chain as usual, and I close our series on this past Sunday!! I preached from I Peter 5:10 and the subject was, "Watch us after this" the Lord showed out in a mighty way and another soul was added to the family!!!
On Monday March 16, 2009 my pastor, Pastor Elliott Williams of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Atlanta, Georgia is in revival at the Concord Baptist Church in Salem, Alabama. I went over to support him, he preached from Psalms 43, his subject was the Power of Prayer!!!. My pastor did an awesome job sharing the word with the people of the Concord church!!!
Well revival last week, and Sunday has wore me out so let me get some rest and I will talk to you guys on Thursday!!!!!

Spring Revival 2009 Part 2
Top of the afternoon to everyone, we greet you in Divine Love; our prayer is that you and your family are walking under an open heaven!!!
Man listen all I can tell you as that you needed to be here at the New Beginning Church, Dr. Keith D. Witherspoon, who I am so glad to call my friend, blessed us tremendously!!! We picked Pastor Witherspoon up from Atlanta airport, he and I got a chance to catch up on things that has been happening, when we got to Columbus we got him something to eat, and then checked him into his hotel so that he could rest for that night service, now this was unusual because last year Pastor Witherspoon did revival for the whole week!!! I was at another church which had a North and South Location so he did 2 nights at the North Church and 3 nights at the South Church, and in a years time call has place me as the undershepherd of the New Beginning Church!! I knew how awesome Pastor Witherspoon was last year and wanted to bring him back to our great city!!!
Well needless to say Pastor Witherspoon shared with us this week and I'm telling you man these 3 nights were off the chain!! Spoon text Wednesday night came from Daniel 3:15-17 and the topic was a Furnace Faith!!!! Man Spoon preached so hard that it was totally ridiculous!!! He said that furnace faith Accepts the Challenge, announces the Creator and astounds the critics!! I mean it was awesome!! He stated that a faith that can't be tested is a faith that can't be trusted!!! WOW!!!
On Thursday night his text came from Job 1:8-12 and the topic was, What to do when the hedge is removed? He said when the hedge is removed we should worship, we should witness about God and we should wait on the Lord!!! I mean spoon sho nuff preached on Thursday he shared with us that the devil is a chained adversary, he's God's lap dog!!! WOW!!!!
On Friday night his text came from II Corinthians 4:17 and his topic was, The pleasure of persecution!!! He said the reason for the pleasure of persecution is because your suffering is not serious, your suffering want stay, and your suffering causes success!!! Man listen our tape ministry is not up and running yet but if it was, this would have been a revival that you would have wanted to place in your personal library!!!
On Friday night, the Women of New Beginning cooked a mean meal for our guest, we fellowshiped and had an awesome time together!!!
This morning we brought Dr. Witherspoon back to the Atlanta airport and we are waiting with great anticipation for 2010 when Dr. Witherspoon will be back with us for our Spring Revival!!!!
I can't wait to stand up tomorrow in the pulpit of New Beginning Church because I will be able to say I preached in the same pulpit with an awesome man!!!!!

We greet you in Divine Love, our prayer is that you and your ministry are walking under an open heaven!!!
This Sunday we started at 10:00am with our Sunday School and again Sunday School was a blessing, the lesson dealt with leadership and of course all teachers did an awesome job in their classes!!! I got good news for you today, Class #3 our adult class finally won the banner offering this Sunday!!!!!(WOW) Remember our children have been winning since the year started!! Class #2 which is our teen class, My class won the banner attendance!!!
Our worship experience started promptly at 11:00am, would you believe the weather outside was gorgeous and the family did come to worship!!! The reason I shared that with you is because the previous Sunday it snowed and only a few folk came to worship!!! The choir was off the chain as usual and I continued the series that I started on last week dealing with being, "The House of Grace", I came from Ephesians 4:17-24 and my topic was "Stop Tripping" when Paul was dealing with the saints and telling them they are acting out of order and essence what he was saying was ya'll need to stop tripping cause in verse 20 he says you did not so learn Christ, it was a timely word as God as continuing to add to the Body of Christ and we need to get it together!!!
We are excited about this week because this is the week of our Spring Revival starting Wednesday March 11, 2009 - Friday March 13, 2009 at 7:00pm, Fellow blooger(kdwitherspoon.blogspot.com) and my Brother Pastor Keith D. Witherspoon of the Bethlehem Baptist Church of South Bend, IN will be our special guest. We are praying on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00pm and the preachment starts that Wednesday!!! I tell people if you have not heard Pastor Witherspoon, don't die and go to heaven before you do!!! Matter of fact you can check him out on youtube.com just search Pastor Keith D. Witherspoon, and I promise you will be bless!!!

Top of the Morning to you!!! We greet you in Divine Love; our prayer is that you and your family are walking under an open heaven!!! We started Wednesday with our New Members's Class and I am glad to say that we have 2 more members who have completed their New Member Orientation and will recieve thier certificate of completion on Sunday Morning as we introduce them to the church family, and release them to work in ministry!!
Our Bible class was again great as we continue to study what it is we believe as a Baptist! We studied article # 9 God's purpose of Grace: We believe that election is the eternal purpose of God, according to which he graciously regenerates, sanctifies, and save sinners; that being perfectly consistent with the free agency of man, it comprehends all the means in connection with the end; that it is a most glorious display of God's soverign goodness, being infinitely free, wise, holy, and unchangeable; that it utterly excludes boasting, and promotes humility, love, prayer, praise, trust in God, and active imitation of his free mercy; that it encourages the use of means in the highest degree; that it may be ascertained by its effects in all who truly believe the gospel; that it is the foundation of Christian assurance; and that to ascertain it with regard to ourselves demands and deserves the utmost diligence!!!!
We had an awesome discussion about this article, I think what I love about our Bible Class is the fact that our family members are very interested in knowing what it is that we believe.
Well also this week the association that our church is apart of, the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Association under the leadership of Moderator, E. Merle Brown held our annual Valley Wide Revival at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church, Pastor James G. Davis is the host. I have the privilege to attend this week and here are the speakers and sermon topics: Monday Night Pastor Ralph Huling of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, he came from Mark 12:29-31 and the topic was A hard look at love!! On Tuesday Night Pastor Marcus Gibson of Greater Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, he came from Acts 8:4 and the topic was the everywhere work of the church!!! Of course Wednesday night I was not present because we had Bible Class at our Church and on Thursday night Pastor Vincent Wilson of the Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church, he came from Mark 5:5, his topic was no stone in Jesus hand!!! This revival has been a tremendous blessing, I'm looking forward for tonight, the Preacher is Pastor Lacoya Day of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church!!!
Well next week we will have our Spring Revival starting Wednesday March 11- Friday March 13, 2009. Our Revivalist for the week will be Pastor Keith D. Witherspoon of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of South Bend, IN. We are expecting God to move in a mighty way at this revival!!! Well next week we will have our Spring Revival starting Wednesday March 11- Friday March 13, 2009. Our Revivalist for the week will be Pastor Keith D. Witherspoon of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of South Bend, IN. We are expecting God to move in a mighty way at this revival!!! Top of the Morning to you!!!! We greet you in Divine Love; our prayer is that you and your family are walking under an open heaven!!!
We started this Sunday Morning at 9:30am for Sunday School, we had to move our time because we had baptism this morning. Sunday School started at 9:30am. Again I'm excited that our Sunday School is growing and that people are making a special effort to get back to it! Class #1 won the banner offering and my class class #2 won the banner attendance. We finish Sunday School at 10:15am and we headed to Greater Shady Grove Baptist Church on 2nd Avenue where my friend Pastor Marcus J. Gibson serves as the Senior Pastor/Teacher!!! Now listen as we are preparing to go to Greater Shady Grove, to my amazement when we walk outside it was snowing. Did you hear what I just said? It was snowing in Georgia!! When we got to Greater Shady Grove, our candidates got dress and man I tell you the truth, we had an awesome baptismal service, I mean Pastor Gibson brought us back to the banks of the river, the way we use to have baptismal!!! It was spirit filled and an awesome experience. We had 3 candidates to go down in the liquid grave. Well when we got back to our church of course the crowd was scarce because of the weather, isn't it funny, that folks will go to work in inclement weather, they will go to the club, game or movies in inclement weather, but when it comes to church they will not show up!!! WOW!!
Anyway our choir did an awesome job in bringing us in the very presence of God!!! I started a series as we prepare for our spring revival on next week. The sermon I preached came from John 8:1-11, the subject was called Don't get caught throwing rocks!!! The focus was on the church that God is calling us to build, "The House of Grace" if indeed we are going to reach people we have to learn to accept them just as they are.
At the end of the service when we gave the invitation we also gave an invitation for New Beginning family members to recommit themselves to the Lord!!! They responded to the call and we are ready to hear from the Lord in our revival!!!
Again thank you for your prayers for our ministry as we continue to try to win the lost for the Kingdom of God!!!!
