This Past Sunday

Again we greet you in Divine Love and our prayer is that you and your family are walking under an open heaven!!! Well what can I say about this Past Sunday experience, it was truly a tremendous blessing. We started with our Sunday School at 10:00am and I am privileged to teach our teen class. The Lesson was "follow the leader" taken from the book of Joshua. I tell you I'm always encouraged when I see our teens pressed their way to come to Sunday School, but not only be present but they participate in class. Let me give this shout out to class #2 at New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church, I am so very proud of each and every one!!

Worship services started at the 11:00am and I tell you the truth, our choir is off the chain!!! No for real they are an awesome choir. I got another opportunity to stand behind that sacred desk one more time. I shared with our church family from the subject, "If it wasn't for God" taken from 2 Corinthians 1-7. Trying to let us realize that God has been good to us down through the years!! The crisis that our country face is OK, because our trust is in Jehovah God, that God who brought us from slavery up to this point, and if he brought us before he definitely can bring us again!!! We had an awesome time!!!

I left our service and went to the 2nd anniversary of Pastor Fredrick Small of Christ Temple Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor C. Medley Hayes of Greater Beulah Baptist Church brought the message. He came from Psalm 127. The message was a blessing to all who was in attendance.

As I wrap this blog up for today, I had the opportunity of watching the 44th President, President Barack Obama get inaugurated as the President of the United States of America. I tell you it was mixed emotions for me, I was excited to see this history being made yet I was sorry because My Grandfather who was 81 years old past on last Thursday and was not able to watch it. Please pray for me I will be travelling to Baton Rouge, LA this weekend to bury my Grandfather, Pastor Steve Johnson.

Can you please tell me your emotions when you saw the inauguration. Again I will stop back later on tonight to tell you about how bible class went!!

What we Believe as a Baptist

Top of the Morning to everyone,
Well let me first say last night we had an awesome time at bible class!! I am impressed with the attendance of our bible class, and family if you are following this blog let me tell you that I am very proud of each and every one of you!! How you commit yourself to your spiritual growth. Keep up the good work!!
We are dealing with Article 2 of the Articles of Faith (of the True God)
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit, whose name is Jehovah, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence, and love; that in the unity of the godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.
The thing that we are trying to convey to our family members is being aware of the things that we believe in as a Baptist!!
Can you explain to me those of you who are out there in Blog land, why is it that when persons of other religions come to our homes and try to witness to us about their religion or denominations, we don't take the time to converse with them to make our beliefs plain to them. Yet we settle for the excuse that I don't want to argue about the Word.
What I was sharing with our church family is that when God saved us, he then made us witnesses for him. That means when ever the opportunity arises for us to be a witness we should take advantage of it, what better advantage than someone coming to your house!!!
Now in order for you to share what you believe you have to know what you believe. Time is out for us being ignorant!!!
Hey if you are following this blog lets have this discussion!! What do you think?
